Amy P.

Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis 8 years ago.  Struggling mentally and physically wrapping my head around slow decline in abilities.  Knew I needed to do something to stay ahead of the disease but couldn't find a fit for me that would keep me motivated to change.  Two things happened that shifted my thinking.  Husband helping me up the stairs and talking about changes to home structurally to accommodate my needs.  Also, everyone was treating me as if I was fragile (making excuses for me not to pick up my grandkids and doing things for me I should be doing) Both of these were devastating to me emotionally. Friend suggested talking to Stephanie and going to the Farm Box.  Being 56 and diagnosed with a disorder that affects the nerves and muscles I didn't think I could do it.  First several weeks just wanted to quit, but Stephanie and  the women around me were very supportive.  Stephanie encouraged me to modify anything I needed to so that it allowed me to keep going.  Environment is so safe and supportive! Months in everyone around me could see the changes both physically and mentally.  I focused on small victories for myself and 1 year later I have lost 40 pounds, have been able to run, do box jumps and more importantly play an active role in my own life and the lives of my grandchildren.  Farmbox literally changed my life and the life of my family.
