Birdie Foundation

A little Birdie told us you needed some help.

Giving back has always been part of the heart of Farm Box.

From the beginning, a portion of our merchandise sales and special events has gone toward organizations like Ruck for Recovery and other causes close to our community. But Amy Burnett and I kept coming back to the same thought:

What if we created something of our own?

Something built specifically to help women when they need it most.

And that’s how Birdie was born.

Our Mission

Birdie exists to provide support, encouragement, and resources to women facing difficult seasons of life. We believe that sometimes a little help at the right time can make all the difference.

This is just the beginning.

Birdie is starting small, with a big heart and an even bigger vision. As we grow, our hope is to reach more women, provide more support, and build a community where no woman feels like she has to face life's hardest moments alone.

Supporting Women When They NEed It Most

Birdie is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting women in our community and beyond — physically, financially, mentally, spiritually, and wherever life may be hitting them the hardest.

Sometimes, asking for help is the hardest part.

Maybe she needs help paying for a gym membership so she can start taking care of herself again. Maybe she needs groceries on the table. Maybe she needs support accessing mental health resources. Or maybe she simply needs someone in her corner during a season when life feels impossible.

Birdie was created from the belief that women are stronger together.

Sometimes strength looks like lifting a barbell. Sometimes it looks like getting out of bed, asking for help, feeding your family, starting over, or simply making it through another day.

Whatever that season looks like, Birdie wants to be another source of support.

Our goal is simple: help women get back on their feet, find their strength, and know they don’t have to walk through difficult seasons alone.

Because strong women helping women become strong is what this community is all about.

Meet The Women Behind Birdie

Birdie was created by Stephanie Mercado of Farm Box and Amy Burnett, with a shared belief that women deserve support when life gets difficult.

Amy will serve as Birdie’s Executive Director, helping lead the day-to-day financial side of the organization and ensuring the money raised is handled responsibly and directed toward women who truly need it.

This is bigger than a fundraiser.

It’s about building something that can continue to grow and serve women for years to come.

Meet Amy Burnett

Executive Director of the Birdie Foundation.

Amy has been by my side since the very beginning of Farm Box. She walked through those doors having never been part of a gym, and I’ve had the privilege of watching her grow in strength, confidence, and so much more.

But what most people don’t see is the woman behind the scenes. The one who has quietly supported me, guided me, encouraged me, and helped me navigate the paperwork, decisions, and growing pains of building something bigger than myself. Never asking for recognition, always leading with love and grace.

Somewhere along the way, Amy became so much more than a member. She became family.

When the dream of Birdie began taking shape, we realized just how deeply our hearts aligned in wanting to lift women up and help families in need.

I may be the one who brings people together, but Amy is the heart helping turn that generosity into meaningful change for the women and families who need it most.

There is nobody I would trust more to help carry this mission forward.

Everybody needs an Amy in their life. I’m just incredibly blessed to have mine.

Starting Right Here at Farm Box

We’re kicking off Birdie right where it all started: Farm Box.

To celebrate the launch of our new website, we’re releasing brand-new Farm Box embroidered socks, created by Farm Box women Molly & Megan through their embroidery business, Morre Decor.

$5 from every pair sold goes directly to Birdie.

And the support doesn’t stop there. Other merchandise created by Initially Glam also gives back to Birdie, with $5 from every sale going directly to the nonprofit.

Strong Women Helping Women Become Strong

This is Only The Beginning

We want Birdie to grow alongside Farm Box and become another way this community takes care of women.

There will be more fundraisers, more opportunities to give, and more ways for Birdie to step in when a woman needs a little extra support.

Because sometimes you don’t need someone to fix everything.

You just need someone to say:

“We’ve got you.”
