Sometimes the life you planned isn’t the life you’re meant to live.

Farm Box wasn’t created because I set out to open another gym. In fact, when I moved from the fast-paced life of New York to Pennsylvania, I truly believed that chapter of my life was behind me.

The road that brought me here, and eventually brought Farm Box to life, started during a time when I was questioning what I wanted the next chapter of my life to look like.

As I approached 40, I unexpectedly and tragically lost my uncle, someone who was incredibly important to me. One of the hardest things for me to admit is that I don’t think I fully understood just how much he meant to me until he was gone.

His loss shook me. It made me stop and really look at my life—where I was, who I had become, and how I was spending the time I had been given.

And I realized I wasn’t happy.

I had spent so much time chasing life that I wasn’t actually living it.

I wanted to go back to my roots. Back to the things that had always mattered to me.

Even as a little girl, I dreamed about having a farm—a place where I could raise my children with space to run, room to grow, and a little more simplicity. I wanted a slower life. Less chasing. More presence. More time together. More of the things that actually matter.

That’s what eventually brought our family to this farm in Pennsylvania.

A rustic barn with weathered wooden exterior, metal roof, small windows, and a small covered porch, set in a rural area with gravel driveway, green grass, trees, and a blue sky with a few clouds.

But Life Had Other Plans

When we moved here, I thought I knew what my new beginning was going to look like. I was ready to let go of old chapters and create something completely different. I had dreams of pursuing photography and event planning. I wasn't planning to open another gym. I thought fitness was behind me.

Not long after moving here, I was hit by a car right in front of our home.

The physical recovery was one thing, but mentally and emotionally, I wasn't myself for a while. I stopped working out and taking care of my health. I didn't know many people here. I had two small children, felt isolated in a new town, and somewhere along the way, I had lost a part of myself.

Then everything changed because of one completely ordinary conversation.

One Conversation. One Workout. One Little Yes.

Two women in athletic attire posing inside a gym illuminated with pink and purple neon lights. They are smiling and appear sweaty after a workout. One is wearing a black tank top and pink running shoes, the other a pink sports bra and gray sneakers.

One day, I walked into a local store with my kids to buy raw milk. A simple conversation about protein powder turned into a conversation with a woman named Rian.

She mentioned that she had always wanted a personal trainer.

Something inside me immediately recognized the moment.

I had spent more than a decade training people. Fitness had been part of my identity for most of my life. And yet there I was, not even taking care of myself.

So instead of offering to train her, I asked if she wanted to come over and work out with me.

I needed a workout partner. I needed a friend. And although I didn't realize it yet, I needed to find my way back to myself.

She said yes.

And that one little yes changed everything.

We started working out together here on the farm. Then another woman came. And another.

With every workout, I could feel that fire coming back to life. I realized that becoming a wife and the mom of two young children hadn't taken away my passion—it had given it even more purpose.

Somehow, without a business plan or some grand vision of what it would become, Farm Box was born on June 29, 2024.

A rustic barn with dark wood siding and a white sliding door, a metal roof, and small windows, set against a blue sky with clouds and surrounded by greenery.

I Believe I Was Redirected Here.

Looking back now, I can see how every part of the story connects.

Losing my uncle made me question the way I was living. That loss brought my family to this farm. Being hit by a car forced me to slow down. Moving somewhere new put me in the path of people I never would have met otherwise. And one random conversation brought me back to the things that had been inside of me all along:

Fitness. Coaching. Women. Community.

I don't believe I created Farm Box alone.

Farm Box Helped Me Find My Strength Again.

Today, Farm Box is so much more than a place to work out.

It's a place where women learn that they are stronger than they thought. Where you can walk through the door exactly as you are and be challenged, supported, celebrated, and reminded of what you're capable of.

That's what truly inspires me about coaching. It isn't my own transformation. It's watching transformation happen in other women.

There's something incredibly powerful about helping a woman believe in herself before she believes in herself. Watching her accomplish something she once thought was impossible. Seeing her confidence grow. Watching her realize, I can do this.

Helping women discover their strength has unlocked something inside of me that I never want to lose.

It's more than coaching. It's my purpose.

And maybe that's why Farm Box means so much to me.

Because Farm Box didn't just give me an opportunity to help other women find their strength.

It helped me find mine again, too.

My uncle's loss taught me that we don't get to know how much time we have. So while we're here, I want to live fully, love people well, give back whenever I can, raise my children by example, and build something that matters.

That's what this farm represents to me.

That's what Farm Box represents to me.

Sometimes the life you planned isn't the life you're meant to live. Sometimes you just have to be willing to follow where you're being redirected.
